Kimberley was a very important mining town at the end of the 1800. In the ancient volcano, named the Big Hole, diamonds were discovered.
Nowadays, the place is an interesting touristy site with a museum relating the story of the mine and also a reconstruction of Kimberley at the end of the 1800. One has the impression to walk in another era in this small town.
