Addo Elephant National Park

In a park that has the word elephant in its title, one would expect to see many of them, but it's not necessarily the case. In guidebooks, it is mentioned that some visitors don't see any elephants.

We thought that a person has to be very unlucky since crossing the park on a public road, we saw a few of them from far away.

This small jackal was shouting dolefully.

Female ostrich.

Male kudu.

Finally, we saw only one elephant from a close distance, but what an encounter! It was grazing along the road, and it passed at 1-2 metres from the car. For a few seconds, we stopped moving and even breathing to be certain not to make a sound that could unnerve it.
