Chinchero and Moray
Village of Chinchero
In addition to the ancient Inca ruins, Chinchero is also a large Peruvian village. Juxtaposed to the archaeological site, the Spaniards built a beautiful colonial church on Inca foundations. The old part of the village is also very pretty.
Inca Ruins of Chinchero
Chinchero is an ancient Inca site that served as an administrative and ceremonial centre. Nowadays, you can still see its magnificent agricultural terraces on the side of the mountains. According to Inca tradition, this is the place where the rainbow was born.

Moray
Moray is another interesting archaeological site because of its unique circular terraces. One of the prevailing theories is that the Incas used these terraces for agricultural experimentation. Each one of them varies in temperature and creates a different microclimate.
