Trek from Tighza to Ighrem Akdim (Ighil M'Goun)
This trek in the High Atlas was in July. At that time of the year, we were a few months into the dry season, and its impact on the scenery was quite obvious. However, it allows us to walk in river beds through magnificent gorges and to do a climb of the third-highest summit in Morocco; the Ighil M'Goun.
We are a group of 10 travellers including myself, and the trek was over a period of 10 days. Khalifa, our Moroccan guide, is with us for its duration.

Ighil M'Goun
Climbing the M'Goun is quite tough due to the altitude. The Ighil M'Goun, third-highest summit in Morocco, peaks at 4071 metres. The highest summit, the Toubkal, is only a few dozen metres higher at 4167 metres.
At these heights, the effect of altitude is non-negligible, and we are all experiencing shortness of breath.
