Trek from Aït Bouguemez to the Anergui Valley
This awesome trek in the High Atlas mountain range offers some fantastic landscapes. It's a walk through quiet villages with some friendly folks. In addition, we will be surprised by a special event...
The trek extends over a period of 10 days in the company of Khalifa, our Moroccan guide, and five travellers.
The surprise is out, a snowy morning with a few centimetres of accumulation; it is rare to have snow in May. We have a quicker breakfast, and we resume the trek shortly after. The snow is falling and visibility is not that great; how is it going to be on the pass?
After reaching the pass, the snow is almost over, and the views are extraordinary. The trees are loaded with snow, and the ground is covered with a white blanket.
The snows make the scenery awesome, but for the local team, who must carry wet and muddy equipment, it is quite a hassle. Hats off to them.
