Nyika National Park
This large park, located at an average altitude of 2000 metres, is known for its mountains scenery. It is also possible to see several species of antelopes.
It is difficult to visit the park in the best season. In the dry season, the landscape is less interesting because fires and dust reduce the visibility. However, the roads are easier to drive. After the fires, there are many flowers that come out.
In the rainy season, the landscape is very green and magnificent, but clouds and rains can reduce the visibility to zero and the roads can become totally impassable. The orchids flower at that time.
I visited in the middle of the dry season, but I was nonetheless impressed by the scenery. Of course, large areas of lands were completely burned or still burning, but other areas were splendid. There were many flowers in the areas where the fire has been out for some times. I saw many antelopes such as the elands that are hard to observe from a close range.
