Quetzaltenango (Xela) and around
Volcán Santiaguito
Santiaguito Volcano is located at the foot of Santa Maria Volcano, and a few kilometres from the city of Quetzaltenango. It's still active, and sometimes, it's possible to see huge puffs of smoke coming out of it. Unfortunately, after nearly two hours of waiting, I didn't have any luck. It was a nice hike of a few hours.
Cerro Quemado
Cerro Quemado, meaning Burnt Mount, is the youngest lava dome of the region. The mount is made of petrified lava, and it's surrounded by fantastic landscapes with several flower fields.
San Andrés Xecul
Zunil
The Zunil's Church used to be entirely white.
