When you are surrounded by volcanoes, it's a must to drive around in search of beautiful landscapes. Here are a few images of the region around Antigua.

San Juan Comalapa
This town is famous for its primitive folk paintings. All around the place, paintings can be seen. The wall in front of the cemetery exhibits about thirty panels representing the history of the people in the region.
As a bonus, I visited the town on a market day.
Even electrical poles are decorated with paintings.
