Arriving in Tarija

Trail from Tucumilla to Rancho Norte - Bolivia

On the way out of the Cordillera de Sama, there are impressive views of the villages of San Lorenzo, Rancho Norte, San Mateo and the city of Tarija in the distance.

Tarija

La Casa Dorada.

I spent a lot more time in Tarija than I expected. In fact, at the beginning of my stay in the city, I had a small accident with the camera and it fell out of my bag. Unfortunately, the lens broke and I couldn't get it fixed. So I ordered a new one from home in Quebec.

The shipment was still quick and trouble-free, but I had to wait three weeks between the initial purchase and the arrival of the lens at the campsite where I was staying.

I walked around the city on a few occasions...

Tarija - Bolivia

I waited for my new camera lens for three weeks at this little campsite. My hosts, Fernanda, Pablo and their daughter Fiorella were very friendly and welcoming.

I also met two nice Argentineans who came to volunteer at the hostal for a few weeks.

Chorros de Coimata

Here are some nice waterfalls to visit around Tarija. In the dry season, the water flow is low, but they are still quite nice.
