The archeological site of Hualco dates from around DC 700 to 1000. It predates the arrival of the Incas, but when after the Inca eventually conquered the region, the site was integrated to Inca Road system Qhapaq Ñan. This vast Inca Road network covered around 22,500 kilometres from Quito (Ecuador) down to Santiago de Chile.
Do you want to know when to sow in the spring? Fill these holes with water and at night, on the correct date, a constellation will be aligned with the holes and be reflected in the water.
It is a theory, but it is quite extraordinary than a 1000-year-old culture may have used such a system.
