Salar de Uyuni with the two Thierry

Here we are at the famous Salar de Uyuni. Even though I've already been to the salar in 2019 and also in 2005, I had to bring the two Thierry's, because it's one of the most incredible sites in all of South America. Believe me, I'll be back for a fourth time...

The two also loved driving on this vast white salt desert. You can drive straight lines over the salt for distances approaching 100 km without a break. We took lots of photos of each other, and Thierry B. also took some nice photos and videos with his drone.

In the town of Uyuni

We've arrived in the town of Uyuni. It's here that I separate from the two Thierry to continue south towards Patagonia. The two of them will travel along the Ruta de Las Lagunas to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, then back up to northern Peru, where they began their journey.

A few days earlier, we crossed a river and Thierry S. and I got our boots completely wet. We dried them by hanging them on the bike, but Thierry had the misfortune to lose one on the way. We looked for it for a few hours, but never found it.
