La Palma
La Palma is a small mountain village famous for its distinctive art and craft. Nearly 75% of the population live from the art trade and from tourism.
This art style started with the Salvadoran Fernando Llort and a group of students in the 1970s. Llort opened an art school and taught his style to many peasants to help them financially to make ends meet.
All around the village, there are several murals painted with bright primary colours. All these works are great fun to discover. In addition to the unique style from Llort, some artists have created their own identity and style.
