World of Birds
The World of Birds is a centre that shelters many species of exotic animals that have been confiscated because they were kept illegally or just badly cared for. The centre has grown to include birds, mammals and reptiles.
Most of the species that you are going to see are not from Africa. They are from various places such as China, Borneo, Brazil, and Canada... There are in cages, but at least they are well fed and properly cared for. These animals can't be returned to the wild because of the costs or the animal's health.
If you are willing, try to identify each species and send me your findings by email. I will add that species name in the post. I will put the little information I remember from reading the signs.
These cute little monkeys come from Brazil and are Squirrel Monkeys. They are very curious and like to play a lot. When someone enters the huge cage, they come to greet the person especially to look for food.
Aquarium Two Oceans
Directly on the Waterfront in Cape Town, this small aquarium contains some very nice species that are present in the waters of the region.
